All-Day Wedding DJ FAQs

Planning a full day can feel like juggling five different events. These FAQs explain how the all day package works, what is included, and how we keep everything calm, organised, and fun.

What is included in your all-day wedding DJ package?

Our all day package typically covers ceremony audio (if needed), background music for drinks reception, wedding breakfast music, microphones for speeches, and evening party DJ and lighting. You get one consistent setup and one team managing the sound and flow, so you are not patching suppliers together across the day.

Can you provide music and microphones for an outdoor ceremony?

Yes. Outdoor ceremonies often need a dedicated speaker setup, a wireless microphone for the celebrant, and careful positioning to avoid wind noise and feedback. We will also plan a simple backup approach because outdoor audio can be affected by weather and venue power availability.

Do you play music during the wedding breakfast, or only in the evening?

Yes, we can provide background music throughout the wedding breakfast. The aim is atmosphere, not volume. We keep it tasteful and low enough that guests can talk comfortably, then lift the energy later when it is time for the party.

Can you handle speeches, announcements, and timings as well as music?

Yes. We can support your run sheet and cue key moments such as introductions, cake cutting, first dance, and parent dances. If you want a confident but low key host, we can do that too, without turning it into a stage show.

How do you manage the flow from daytime music to the evening party?

We build it in phases. Soft background for arrivals, warmer and more upbeat for drinks, calm during the meal, then a clear lift after speeches. It feels natural, so your guests do not get hit with party volume too early, but the energy still lands when it matters.

Can we choose the music for each part of the day?

Absolutely. Some couples want very specific choices for ceremony and key moments, then a general vibe for the rest. Others prefer full control. Either way, we will guide you so it stays coherent across the day and does not feel like five separate playlists.

Do you take guest requests on the day?

Yes, if you want us to. We can take requests and filter them through your preferences, or we can keep it strictly to your brief. If there are songs you do not want played, we will respect that, even if a guest asks.

Music Playlist Examples

What do you need from our venue to run all-day wedding DJ and sound smoothly?

Access time, a nearby parking and load in route, and reliable power. We also like to know if the venue has sound limiters, strict curfews, or restrictions on where speakers can be placed. If you are using multiple rooms, we will plan how audio moves between spaces.

Can you cover multiple rooms or areas, like ceremony room, drinks area, and reception room?

Yes, and it is common on all-day weddings. Depending on the venue layout, we may use additional speakers or a second setup so transitions are seamless. We will recommend what is best rather than automatically upselling equipment.

Do you provide a microphone for speeches and can it be used for readings too?

Yes. We provide wireless microphones where required, and they can be used for speeches, readings, and announcements. We also make sure the microphone volume is balanced so it is clear without being harsh.

What happens if the timeline runs late, or the speeches overrun?

Weddings run late, it is normal. We build flexibility into the plan and will adapt calmly on the day. If you need additional time beyond the agreed finish, we can usually offer overtime, subject to availability and venue curfews.

How early do you set up for an all-day wedding DJ package?

We aim to set up well before guests arrive, particularly if we are handling ceremony audio. Early setup means we can soundcheck properly, coordinate with the venue, and keep everything discreet while you get ready.

Do you work alongside live bands, sax players, or singers?

Yes. We regularly work with live musicians and can coordinate changeovers, provide supporting audio if needed, and keep the dancefloor energy consistent. If you have live acts, tell us the timings early so we can build a clean run sheet.

Are you insured and is your equipment PAT tested?

Yes. We carry public liability insurance and our equipment is PAT tested. If your venue needs documents, we can provide them, so you do not have to chase paperwork during planning.

PAT Testing & PLI

What is your backup plan if something fails on the day?

We bring professional equipment, maintain it properly, and carry backups for key items. We also plan the day so that critical moments, like ceremony audio and speeches, have a robust setup and a simple contingency approach.

Do you coordinate with our photographer and videographer?

Yes. If you would like, we will coordinate key timings with your photographer and videographer so the important moments are captured properly, such as the ceremony entrance, confetti, first dance, cake cut, sparklers, and any planned group shots. We can also help keep the schedule moving smoothly so there are no awkward pauses while your suppliers get what they need.
