MHX Evening Reception is a tailored 4-5-hour DJ performance, built around your music, venue and guests. Your DJ mixes live, hosts the moments you have agreed and brings one of five carefully presented setups to the room. We plan the details with you beforehand, so you can be there with everyone else.

Send us favourite genres, songs you must hear, those you would rather avoid and how you feel about guest requests. We prepare around that brief. Then your DJ mixes and responds to what is happening, instead of playing through a fixed list.
Your first dance and any agreed cake-cutting or announcement cue are ready in advance. The microphone can be as low-key as you like. Matt leads MHX alongside experienced team DJs, including Chris. We confirm who is performing for you before you book.

Behind the Evening
You should be free to enjoy the reception. We make the practical plan with you and the venue beforehand.
We agree the loading route, room access and soundcheck with your venue. Very early same-day installation can carry an additional charge because equipment must remain attended.
We can adapt to small changes where possible. An extension depends on the curfew, sound rules and DJ availability. Agreed additional DJ time is £80 per hour.
We discuss sound limiters, power and space in advance. MHX carries £10m public liability cover and uses PAT-tested equipment.

It includes a tailored 4-5-hour live DJ performance within the agreed start and finish times. Extra time is £80 per hour where the venue permits, subject to curfew, availability and sound restrictions.
We agree access and installation with the venue. Setup and soundcheck take place before your booked performance and do not reduce it. Very early same-day installation may carry an additional staffing charge because equipment cannot be left unattended.
Yes. We prepare the track and can introduce it as subtly or formally as you prefer. Other agreed moments, such as the cake cut, can be coordinated with your venue or planner.
Yes. Share your favourites, must-plays, songs to avoid and your approach to requests. Your DJ prepares around that brief, then mixes live and responds to your guests.
We adjust agreed moments where practical, working with your venue or planner. Performance beyond the booked finish is not automatic and depends on curfew, sound restrictions, DJ availability and an additional charge.
Our All-Day Wedding coverage starts at 1pm in the main wedding space and adds wedding-breakfast music and agreed speech support. Ceremony and separate-room audio can be quoted as further additions.
