The Occasion Sets the Direction
A conference can finish with a party. A brand launch can run throughout the afternoon. Tell us what your event needs to achieve, and we will shape the DJ service around it.

Music for arrivals, dinner and recognition moments, followed by a live-mixed party set. We agree the running order, microphone requirements and cues with your organiser or production team.

A Christmas party, a summer social or a full day for colleagues and their families. We plan the music, sound and lighting around the people attending and the indoor or outdoor setting.

Music that works with your brand and leaves space for conversation. From an in-store launch to a showroom event, the volume, booth and musical direction are agreed with your team.
Start With the Space
The venue name is useful. The actual room and running order tell us much more. Here are some of the settings to consider when planning your Birmingham event.
Colmore Row
Planning at The Grand Hotel Birmingham, a private dining room or your own office? We discuss how guests will use the space, where the DJ setup belongs and when the event should move from conversation into celebration.
Centenary Square & Brindleyplace
If your plans involve the ICC or a nearby reception venue, tell us which event space we are supplying and who is managing the technical side. We coordinate the DJ requirements with your organiser and any in-house production team.
Digbeth
An event at The Bond or another Digbeth space may have a very different layout from a hotel suite. Open areas, different ceiling heights and the route between rooms all inform the sound, lighting and equipment plan.
Eastside
Millennium Point and the surrounding Eastside area offer settings for conferences, networking and launches. We plan the musical part of your event around the session times, guest movement and the point at which the social takes over.
Venue references are planning examples. Your chosen venue, access and technical arrangements are confirmed individually.
Real Work, Recognisable Clients
Six examples from the wider MHX portfolio. Different briefs and different audiences, with the care and presentation we bring to Birmingham corporate bookings.

Summer Party
A company celebration in an open-air social space. A good example of music supporting conversations, arrivals and the atmosphere as guests settle into the occasion.

Fifth Anniversary
A milestone celebration with a clean black setup and a striking backdrop. The venue, sound coverage and running order all feed into the equipment and music plan.

Company Party
A white booth with a compact footprint for a company celebration. Smart presentation without taking over the whole room, with sound and lighting positioned for the event.

Showroom Event
A black booth and contemporary lighting presented alongside the vehicles. Music, volume and setup planned to feel part of the brand experience.

In-Store Event
An active retail space with guests moving through the store. The music should add to the experience while leaving room for the conversations and the brand itself.

The Finish Matters as Much as the Footprint
The right system depends on the space, not just the headcount. A compact city-centre reception and a large company party need different coverage, positioning and production.
Yamaha DZR loudspeakers are part of our equipment, alongside black and white booths, podiums, light bars and moving-head lighting. Additional audio and radio microphones can be included where the brief needs them.
We can plan corporate DJ entertainment for up to 1,000 guests, with sound coverage, power, crew and any further production scoped individually. For a smaller room, we bring the same attention to a more compact setup.
Matt Hall & the MHX DJ Team
You can hear the difference when a DJ mixes with skill and knows how to read a room. The set develops with your guests, rather than carrying on regardless of what is happening in front of the booth.
Matt Hall leads MHX and performs at many of our events. His experience includes the Silverstone F1 Grand Prix Main Stage, celebrity warm-up sets and international DJing, with more than 20 years behind the decks. Other experienced MHX DJs are also part of the team, with your DJ agreed during booking.
We discuss the music you enjoy, must-play tracks and songs to avoid. An awards party, a mixed-age staff event and a fashion launch may need very different directions. The brief matters, and so does knowing when to adapt.

City-Centre Detail, Without the Last-Minute Scramble
A central address can be convenient for guests arriving at New Street, Snow Hill or Moor Street. Getting a DJ setup into the event space is a separate plan. We agree it before the day, with you and the venue.
The authorised entrance, vehicle stop, loading window and equipment route. A guest entrance is not always the practical way in with sound and lighting.
Service lifts, security details, setup time and room changeovers. We also confirm power, sound limits and how our equipment works with any venue production.
Where the vehicle can stay after unloading, the finish time and access for pack-down. Any applicable Clean Air Zone or parking costs are considered when preparing your quote.
Prepared for Your Venue
£10 million public liability insurance, PAT-tested equipment and venue documentation, including risk assessments and method statements where required.

Yes. Corporate bookings can be daytime, all day or evening, indoors or outdoors. The playing hours, sound coverage, power, weather protection and any sound restrictions are discussed for the actual site. Our wider work includes an all-day outdoor CEVA / Exponential-e event for around 600 guests.
Yes. We can plan corporate DJ entertainment for compact receptions through to events for up to 1,000 guests. Larger bookings are scoped individually, with sound coverage, crew, power and any additional production agreed for the venue and event layout.
We confirm the approved loading point, access window, equipment route, parking and collection arrangements with you and the venue. Any applicable Clean Air Zone and parking costs are considered in the quotation, with the arrangements agreed before the event. Please share venue restrictions at enquiry stage.
We prefer our own sound equipment because we know how it performs. If the venue requires an installed system, we need to discuss its specification, connections, sound coverage, limits and technical support before agreeing the booking. A suitable sound check and clear technical responsibilities are important.
Your proposal sets out the agreed DJ hours, setup and sound and lighting requirements, plus any additional audio, microphones, crew or production. Send the date, venue, guest numbers, timings and event brief so we can check availability and prepare an accurate quote. Booking and payment terms are confirmed in writing.
