MHX brings wedding DJs, sound and a carefully presented setup to celebrations across Hertfordshire. We listen to the music you love, consider how your venue works, then mix live on the night as the room changes. Our experienced team can cover the evening or more of the day.

Sound Where the Day Needs It.
Sometimes the vows, drinks, speeches and evening party are all in different places. We will identify where sound is needed rather than assuming one system can cover everything.
Outdoor Ceremony Audio
Dedicated microphones, agreed entrance and exit music and a weather-aware setup can be discussed for an outdoor ceremony.
Another Room or Drinks Space
Additional speakers or a separate audio position can be quoted where the venue layout calls for them.
Finishing Touches
Dancefloor sizes, illuminated LOVE letters and selected live musicians depend on the room, timing and availability.

Do You Provide Wedding DJs Across Hertfordshire?
Yes. We welcome enquiries in St Albans, Watford, Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted, Hitchin, Hertford, Stevenage, Bishop’s Stortford and surrounding Hertfordshire towns and villages. Tell us your venue and date so we can check availability and travel details.
Have You Played at My Hertfordshire Wedding Venue?
Tell us the venue and the rooms you have booked. We will confirm any previous experience honestly, speak with your venue about supplier access and requirements, and plan the setup around the actual space. Venue names on this page are examples for planning, not claims of previous bookings.
Can You Cover an Outdoor Ceremony and Indoor Evening Reception?
Yes, where the venue arrangement permits. Ceremony microphones and sound for a separate location can be quoted as additions. We check power, shelter, distance between spaces, installation time and the music cues you want.
How Much Is a Wedding DJ in Hertfordshire?
Evening Reception coverage starts from £495 with the Classic setup; All-Day Wedding coverage starts from £895. The five MHX setups and their individual starting prices are shown on this page. Peak Saturdays from May to September add £100. Your final quotation reflects the date, venue, access, hours and any additions.
What Is Included in All-Day Wedding Coverage?
All-day coverage normally starts at 1pm in your agreed main wedding space. It includes wedding breakfast background music, support for agreed speeches and the complete evening DJ performance. Setup time is separate. Earlier ceremony audio or additional rooms can be quoted separately.
Can We Give You a Playlist and Music to Avoid?
Please do. Send us your favourite genres, must-plays, songs to avoid and your thoughts on guest requests. We plan around your taste and mix live, with the flexibility to respond to the people actually dancing.
Will Matt Hall Be the DJ?
Matt leads MHX and performs at many weddings. Other experienced MHX DJs, including Chris, are also available. We confirm who can cover your date before you book. If you have a particular preference, tell us in your enquiry.
How Do You Deal With Sound Limiters and Venue Supplier Rules?
We ask the venue about performance hours, sound limiters, power, installation windows, parking and the route into the room. We prefer to use our own known sound equipment, and we discuss any proposed house system before agreeing the plan.
Can We Choose a Different Look for a Smaller Room?
Yes. Classic and Signature suit couples seeking a cleaner footprint; Premium Compact and Premium Full add more visual and sound impact. We discuss what fits your actual room rather than recommending the largest setup automatically.
How Do We Secure Our Wedding Date?
Send your date, venue and approximate guest count. We will confirm the available DJ, the suitable coverage and setup, and your tailored quotation. A booking agreement and normally a 20% booking fee secure the date once MHX confirms the booking in writing.
